The history of «AVTOBAN» Group dates back to the Soviet 1960s, an epoch of far-reaching ideas, scientific breakthroughs, enthusiasm and sheer belief  in a blissful tomorrow. It was then, in 1965-1966, that the SU-905, SU-906 and SU-909 were formed, whose builders laid roads in the harsh conditions of frost, swamps and numerous rivers of Western Siberia.
In 1980, for more intensive development of the key oil and gas regions of the country, the USSR Ministry of Transport Construction formed the Surgutdorstroy Trust, which in 1998 became the Khanty-Mansiyskdorstroy, OJSC — the West Siberian division of the future «AVTOBAN» Group.

In 1999, DSK «AVTOBAN» OJSC was established, which began to consistently unite the most promising road construction companies of the Central Federal District and Western Siberia under its brand.
In 2014, DSK «AVTOBAN» , OJSC became the winner of the tender for concluding a long-term investment agreement for the reconstruction, maintenance, repair, roadway replacement and toll operation of M-3 Ukraina highway, on the sections from km 124 to km 194. With this contract, DSK AVTOBAN, OJSC began active development of the market for large-scale PPP projects.

In 2016 the company was transformed into DSK «AVTOBAN», JSC. Together with the formation of an effective management company, the involvement of the best specialists and the introduction of transparent and effective management schemes, this turned the AVTOBAN Group into the most powerful holding in the Russian road and bridge, industrial and civil construction market and one of the key players in the largest PPP projects with a total contract portfolio of over RUB 250 billion.
